  to dye fabric we collected a very large bucket, some powder procion dyes, a TON of salt, soda ash, a mixing stick, water, and rubber gloves.

  the dyes we used recommended 1 gallon of water per shirt. It was really wet!

  we also used one cup of salt for every gallon of water.

  we mixed the powdered dye up into a slurry

  then added the shirts and stirred for a while before fixing them with soda ash.

  out came all these strangely colored shirts!
