THOUGHTS
Alright, so after months of coding, bug fixing, browser testing and a bout of something called the "Princeton Curse" the new Princeton site is live!
Isn't it funny how one search leads us to another and yet another?
So, I am not sure if MODATI should consider itself a single entity seeing all the contributions it has seen from other artists. It would be unfair to say MODATI raised itself. It would be nice to open it up to more artists and people who want to create amazing things. What about starting a co-op program? Like teach people how to use the press in exchange for them posting their designs on the site. They cans sell their things through the site and the profits are shared within the group, but most would go to the artist.
So, I am a big fan of typography. I was thinking it would be neat to have shirts that display typography. I am going to start working on a series of type tees. I want to start with large showings of san serif fonts. I think it would be appropriate to start with either Arial or Helvetica, have the sizing and information printed on the sleeve and a large showing printed on the front, with history and such printed on the inside.
What about this. I enjoy events, giving people things to do, ways to interact with each other and empower themselves. We're currently coming up with an environmentally minded shirts, so why not throw a clean up party. With the warming weather (in the good way) the trash that has been previously been caked with snow is now glittering with the early morning dew. Let's clean that up, party, and have pie.
Does anyone have any suggestions for where this can happen? A park, around downtown, the backyard of the Alibi...? Leave your comments, I await you!

Alright, so after having a real high about designing for people, I think I hit a real low. I have been working on a design for a soccer team and have had all my designs shot down, only to be given a piece of clip art and more people liked the clip art. Im not saying the clip art is bad, but does that mean the design I was working on was not even worth clip art?
Alright so after a great weekend teaching the IDSA students how to silkscreen and a few nights tossing and turning, I have decided I have to focus my energy into silk screening and the whole culture around it. When I was a senior in high school I went to the portfolio review day at U of M and you know what they told me, "You should look into screen printing."
Today I ordered some Alternative Apparel Shirts from Broder Bros. The lady on the telephone was extremely nice, friendly and gave me case pricing. I wanted to see how Alternative Apparel shirts compared to American Apparel. I ordered 7 different colors. I am planning on going on a design spree in the next few weeks. I think I have to go to Desmonds to pick up some screens for myself. Ill try to do that later today.
And so it begins...
