FRESH
Alright so after a great weekend teaching the IDSA students how to silkscreen and a few nights tossing and turning, I have decided I have to focus my energy into silk screening and the whole culture around it. When I was a senior in high school I went to the portfolio review day at U of M and you know what they told me, "You should look into screen printing."
How would I know four years later that they would be right and that screen printing is actually something I enjoy? I have a degree in "Fine Arts" and a concentration in "Graphic/Industrial Design", would it be a wasted education if I went into screen printing?
I think that really depends on how I spin it. If I just stay and print what I am told, then yes. But if I use that experience, combine it with my education and create some really great personal works then it would be worth it.
I am a part-time web designer now for the University, I think its time for me to leave, part ways, say so long and start looking into things that are more fulfilling.
Underground here I come....
